All in 1 SPOT with TheraTalk, SLP, PT, OT, Psychology, PLLC’s goal is to provide quality evaluation and treatment through a family oriented and team approach.

Our practice was founded in 2004 with just one speech language pathologist, and now has grown to a multidisciplinary agency that employs many providers and staff and is directed by speech language pathologists.Through our agency’s journey, we have not forgotten what the source of our work is:  Helping children reach their maximum potential by delivering the highest quality and innovative services.

We are dedicated to excellence in service through: prompt evaluation and diagnosis; individualized therapeutic services; social and life skills enhancement; innovative practices, training and research. Consistent with “Working Together To Achieve Outstanding Results” mission statement, our focus is to develop a facility that promotes services for the whole family all in 1 location and provide excellent services in all of our programs.

Our facility includes two state of the art sensory gyms that enhance all therapeutic services provided at the location.  Our cutting edge gross motor and sensory gyms are filled with equipment that create a fun, safe and motivating environment for exploration and movement, as well as opportunities for imagination and pretend play. Furthermore, our private speech therapy suites are conducive for the most optimal therapy sessions. The gym as well as all therapy suites are under video surveillance and can be viewed by parents at any time.

All in 1 SPOT with TheraTalk is a primary speech contract agency for the NYC Department of Education for various districts in Queens and the Bronx.  Our providers in the schools employ a passionate, thorough and intensive approach in therapy and provide each student with highly skilled intervention to ensure great progress of IEP goals.   Our providers work as a team with the schools to provide a treatment plan that is specific to each child’s unique needs, as well as personalized strategies and goals to foster carryover at home, in school and in their community. Our providers communicate with families, other providers, and teachers, in order to ensure that therapy goals are generalized, as our goal is to discharge students from services.

Our speech language pathologists have extensive education and training in various speech-language and swallowing/feeding disorders. Our speech providers are highly trained to evaluate, diagnose and provide therapy for speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders in children with a range of disorders and age groups in the school, office or home settings.

They help individuals prevent or improve communication problems such as articulation, impaired language, stuttering and voice dysfunction. All of our speech therapists have master’s degrees and are approved to provide speech services to children in the schools, clinic and early intervention setting. They are trained by the directors to implement effective treatment programs. They are observed by their supervisors with weekly meetings to ensure all the children at our center, our early intervention program and our schools are receiving quality care.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior. The goal of ABA is to increase positive behaviors and decrease negative behaviors.  ABA programs can help increase language and communication skills; improve attention, focus, social skills, and academics; and decrease negative behaviors. The methods of behavior analysis have been used and studied for decades. They have helped many kinds of learners gain various skills. Therapists have used ABA to assist children with autism and related developmental disorders for many years.

Our occupational therapists have expertise in sensory integration, motor coordination, fine motor skills and play skills. They help children with special needs organize their nervous system through playful interactions and various therapeutic activities. Often children with special needs have challenges processing and integrating sensory information. This results in decreased attention span and increased distractibility. Through the playful therapeutic interventions in the sensory gym, occupational therapists facilitate the child’s ability to align their cognition with their emotion which leads to increased attention span and decreased distractibility. We have over 10 occupational therapists that work in various All in 1 SPOT settings.

Our physical therapists target areas that involve the child’s ability to maneuver throughout school and within the community. The therapists aim to maximize independence in the area of mobility, as well as participation in school activities. Developing age-appropriate gross motor skills, strengthening muscles, increasing balance and coordination, and improving one’s motor planning ability are some areas addressed during physical therapy. When appropriate, specialized equipment, such as, adaptive seating, orthotics, crutches, and walkers are utilized to promote maximal functioning ability for our children. We have several seasoned pediatric physical therapists working at our center.

Our goal is to provide the most optimal therapeutic experience for children in order to reach the greatest progress possible. Therapists at All in 1 SPOT enthusiastically work with individuals with various types of disorders, populations and diverse backgrounds to help reach their highest potential.

The All in 1 team of providers are very passionate about their field and believe that a career in speech language pathology challenges an individual to use their intellect in combination with their heart to do the most meaningful work…give a child the gift of communication. The directors continuously challenge all of their therapists to increase their knowledge base in providing culturally and linguistically responsive services in order to provide the best therapy possible during each and every therapy session. The therapists that work for All in 1 SPOT with TheraTalk are highly trained, and carefully selected. The therapists are trained to employ a passionate, thorough and intensive approach in therapy and provide each child with a highly individualized treatment plan specific to each child’s unique needs, as well as personalized strategies and goals to foster carryover at home, in school and in their community.

Our center puts children first in every decision that is made. We know that nothing is more important to you than your child and his/her well- being. Our main goal is that each child’s treatment program focuses on the skills that are necessary to function and excel in everyday living.
